This book is an indispensible guide to cycling down the coast from Morro Bay to Malibu. The author is very focused and thorough, and I appreciated the fact that he was able to pack all the extremely important guidelines and tips into a book compact enough to take with me on the ride.Also wonderfully helpful are the details about the campgrounds, where to find water, services and general costs of things. At times, I felt like the author was riding along with us. One reviewer mentioned the lack of information on side rides, but that's not really the point. The book is geared toward cyclists who have a goal in mind, and that's riding down the coast as efficiently, cost effectively and safely as possible. The author knocks it out of the park with the level of detail here, and information is presented in a well-written, conversational and organized way.
The author's other book on the Big Sur coast is excellent, as well. Get both of them for an epic journey!

Not enough rides mentioned in this skinny book. He should have added some side rides at each location. I am looking for another bike ride book for the central coast of CA.
